To answer the question of why I want to be a Guru:
- Really, who wouldn't want to work at a place called Guruland? I previously worked on a team that was referred to by some as Supportlandia, and I like imagery of travelling from Supportlandia to Guruland.
- I enjoy helping people solve problems, and Customer Success is an area where you get to do just that. From answering standard requests, to going above and beyond to meet a tricky request from a customer while providing an experience that converts them from perhaps less-than-impressed to fully satisfied, I found working in Customer Success a rewarding job.
- I've heard that Shopify is a fantastic place to work, with a great culture that extends even to those who work remotely. I admire any company that can make remote working an experience where employees feel just as connected as they would be if in the office, and would love to be part of such a company and team.
